CEDIA Awards

Wildwood has represented CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) for a number of years and is very proud of having created the hugely successful, annual CEDIA Awards, which celebrate Best Practice in residential custom installation.

Setting the standard for home technology

The Awards provide a fantastic showcase for technical expertise, design creativity and professional integration. Wildwood is responsible for the entire Awards process, from launching the annual call for entries, recruiting an influential and high-profile judging panel and arranging the prestigious Awards ceremony itself. We have also played a central role in making the Awards ceremony a revenue generating stream for CEDIA by enlisting the support of respected industry sponsors.

The CEDIA Awards 2013 set a new record for the quantity of entries, with more than 161 projects, a 61% increase from 2012 for our judges to review.  Entries were submitted from no fewer than 15 countries  including the UK and Europe and as far afield as Africa, India and Pakistan. The showcase installations provided by the entrants also give CEDIA valuable PR material to raise awareness of the industry and demonstrate the amazing work CEDIA members do. Wildwood work tirelessly to generate interest and press coverage before and after the event and have generated over 100 pieces of coverage for the CEDIA awards over the past year.

The Awards have grown hugely over the years to become one of the industry's annual highlights.

Widlwood works with CEDIA to produce a yearbook which includes images and text on all entries into the award scheme. This takes a great amount of work, but the end result is a great coffee table book, which CEDIA members, design professionals and consumers use.  In 2012, Wildwood was awarded Best External Publication at the CIPR Awards for the CEDIA Yearbook.
